QMT News: May 2007
QGS acquisition
Luton-based Quality Gauging Systems, QGS, has purchased Premier Gauge, based in Wednesbury, West Midlands. QGS managing director, Martyn Gill says the acquisition makes it one of the largest multi-dimensional gauging system manufacturers in the UK, with an annual turnover of £2 million. Premier Gauge’s 8,500 sq ft facility will act as the “Gauging Fixture Division” of the group, designing and manufacturing multi-dimensional fixtures. To ensure continuity for its customers, former Premier Gauge’s owner, Bruce Newman, is taking on the role of business development manager for the company.
