Trescal, the international specialist for calibration services, has acquired Antech Engineering in the UK, a specialist provider in pressure, temperature and flow measurements. The acquisition will enhance the calibration services of the group in the oil and pharmaceutical industries.
With a turnover of £ 2.5 million, Antech has 35 employees across 2 laboratories. This is the second acquisition for Trescal in the UK since it acquired Dowding & Mills in April 2010. Trescal now has a total turnover of £29 million across 9 laboratories and 18 customer satellites with a staff of 400.
It is also the second acquisition since 3i invested in Trescal in September 2010. In January 2011, Trescal announced the acquisition of Dynamic Technologies Inc., allowing the group to enter the US market. In total, 10 acquisitions have been made by the company since 2007.
