NPL Guide to the Expression of Uncertainty Conference
This two day conference, being held 7 - 8 November 2013 at the National Physical Laboratory, Teddington, will consider the origins of the GUM, its impact on the scientific community, the influence of computers on uncertainty evaluation, the current revision of the GUM, and future look at how uncertainty evaluation is expected to evolve.

The meeting will celebrate the 20th anniversary of the publication of the Guide to the Expression of Uncertainty in Measurement (GUM), the primary document regarding uncertainty evaluation in metrology. It will consider the origins of the GUM, its impact on the scientific community, the influence of computers on uncertainty evaluation, a revision of the GUM now under way, and take a future look at how uncertainty evaluation is expected to evolve.
