QMT News: March 2008
Haas Technical Education Centres open

Since the official launch of the Haas Technical Education Centre (HTEC) program at EMO 2007 in Hanover, Germany, the Haas Automation Europe HTEC team has set up a number of  new collaborative CNC teaching facilities at universities, colleges and technical schools across the Europe.

“Since the launch at EMO, we’ve seen a tremendous response to our HTEC program across Europe,” says Haas Automation Europe managing director, Mr Peter Hall. “The Minsk facility  recently opened is one of several important and high-profile HTEC’s we opened at the end of 2007. For 2008 we plan to have 40 HTEC’s open and operational, across Spain, Italy, Germany and Eastern Europe.
The Haas HTEC programme is an attempt to alleviate the worldwide shortage of skilled CNC machining operators, programmers and application engineers - which is a challenge faced daily by almost all precision engineering companies, from Calcutta to California.
