'Air'-force won for Bowers

Growing demand for its products and services has led HPC Engineering Company to place multi-million pound orders for state-of-the-art machine tools and ancillary equipment. To enable its in-process gauging routines to keep pace with  increasing turnover, HPC has  invested in a series of state-of-the-art Bowers 2200 Air Gauging Columns and Gauges.

“Our commitment to quality means our components undergo stringent dimensional checks at each stage of the manufacturing process,” explains HPC Quality Engineer, Paul Dennett. “To ensure these critical inspection routines can be performed within machine-tool cycle times, we require a fast, easy to use and above all accurate measuring system. The modular nature of our new flexible Air-Gauging means that we are able to move it from machine to machine as the need arises and reconfigure it for a wide range of measuring tasks. We considered other machines but Bowers’ ease of use, great accuracy and robust characteristics make it perfect for our shop floor use.”
