CMSC highlights
Highlights of the 2014 Coordinate Metrology Systems Conference (21 to 25 July) in Charleston, USA, include a new measurement zone, a tour of Boeing's Charleston facility and a keynote address by Bill Gressler from the LSST (Large Synoptic Survey Telescope) Project, based in Tucson, Arizona.

He will discuss the advancements in metrology that have enabled the 3-mirror LSST telescope and its 3-element refractive camera designs to provide a 3.5-degree field of view integrated optical system.

The five days of presentations include peer-reviewed technical presentations from organisations that include the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, Rolls-Royce, The Boeing Company, Lockheed Martin, Hitachi Power Solutions Co and BMW Manufacturing,

More than forty-five exhibitors will showcase their products and services in the CMSC Exhibitor Hall, including portable measurement systems (PCMMs), software, accessories, peripherals, and service providers catering to the needs of the industrial measurement marketplace.
